There was not much resistance from Yorubaland to British occupation of Nigeria as compared to Igboland. The Egba had an Oba while the Oyo had an Alafin. With the surrender of this monarchs, their entire kingdoms fell. But in Igboland take the case of Umuahia, When Ibeku fell, Olokoro will take up arms and When Olokoro fell, Afara took up arms etc etc. This conflicts raged on in Igboland till 1929.
As at 1929, the Obas of Egba and Oyo had given up to The British.

Bravo. Even after 1929, there were pockets of resistances all over Igboland to the point that the British were never ever quite comfortable with their governance in the Eastern region well into the '50s when the Igbo union and the likes of Zik were busied by the activities of independence.
