If ASUU calls off strike, then, FG won. You guys don't understand that FG are the villaîns here. They don't want to pay the money in arrears owed, then, using hunger and promises as a bait to make them resume. You don't understand that if they agree to FG's decision, they won't have the power to embark on another strike WHEN FG refuses to pay them before this year ends even. Besides what happened to the "Revisitation" that they were clamouring about? Remember they also said they were not going to call off the strike after all of their demands are met? Why are they considering calling off the strike? It's too early to call off strike. Dear ASUU, Remember two years is the goal!!!!!!!!! |

Do you know that students payed school fees to these universities and it's in their right to receive the services they payed for? Do you know landlords are already calling some students to come and vacate their houses? Some of these students would've graduated by now. ASUU are also threatening to cancel two sessions for FG refusal to pay them salaries so if FG were paying them salaries they'd still be striking and making unending demands others whose children are in public universities would have taking them to private universities by now. Do you also know that while the strike is on some universities are still collecting money from candidates and conducting post utme exams? These students would have to wait at home for a year or longer after they are given admissions. ASUU are not different from kidnappers. they have held the students hostage while they demand their ransome from the government. Students never bargained for this if this, they should settle their differences with the government more professionally and maturely not at the detriment of the students. 1 Like |

Are you aware university lecturers have not been paid since January?? If any of your parent or relative is a lecturer none of you will be here supporting the FG, how do you expect the lecturer to fuel his car or pay for transportation to come give student lectures, or you want them to stand in front of students on an empty stomach and return back home to their children who are also hungry at home and can't also pay for their fees?? |

phatriqk:They were paid up to the point they decided to go home and relax, thinking they would be paid the accumulated salaries when they return from vacation as usual. Federal government still paid ASUU some money during this strike, maybe eaa or minimum wage arears, can't recall. 2 Likes |

Ivimmanuel: Allow them fight for their rights sir! Aggressiveness is the only way forward in this country |
Re: ASSU Must Not Call Off Strike by Ivimmanuel: 10:35pm On Aug 24, 2022 |
Austink0:and the students? I'm not against them fighting for their rights but I think is really not reasonable for insisting all their demands me met with the kind of government in power right now. Tbh if the students were not affected I'd not be bothered. Good thing is most of them also have children in these schools and not that their salaries are not coming they won't be able to move them so I hope they call off before elections |

Re: ASSU Must Not Call Off Strike by JJuanMiguel: 4:42am On Aug 25, 2022 |
edoairways:Is the strike working? That was the same question i asked a lecturer on tuesday, he admitted it's not working and it's not affecting the government. But he said the masses are not doing enough, which means ASUU are expecting the masses to help put pressure on the government on their behalf. |
