LASG should do something tangible in the demolition of dilapidated buildings that can no longer stand the test of time in order to save lives although it may lead to homelessness.

This is the next big issue that all houses, their owners and tenants need to pay attention to.

The scaffolding rods used in elevating water tanks (due to rain and other environmental conditions) become rusty and weakened gradually over a length of time. Due to the dead weight of the water tanks, the eventual collapse is usually sudden, dangerous and even lethal on impact such as in this case.

Reinforced Concrete columns (pillars) are the best for elevating water tanks, and should be free from the house and other buildings around. If possible, barricaded so that nothing is underneath. Children should also be kept away from the area.

May the souls of children Rest In Peace.

“The Agency activated its response to the above incident and upon arrival at the incident scene, discovered that the tank scaffolding of a 2 Storey building collapsed on a bungalow beside it and affected two rooms.

The menace of building collapse in Nigeria is very alarming and appalling. Building collapse in Nigeria has become the norms and they are easily swept under the carpet whenever it occurs. It is rather unfortunate that both human and economic loss we record each time there is a failure or building collapse is rather humongous. There is also a lot of blame game among professional stakeholders in the industry once failure or collapse of building occur and unfortunately, there is no proper scientific investigation in Nigeria to ascertain the cause of failure or collapse as the case may be in order to avoid any future occurrence. After review, it was discovered that building materials such as reinforcing steel, cement, sand, granite, sandcrete blocks and concrete play huge important role in either the collapse or stability of buildings in Nigeria. The roles of these materials are so vital that they contribute immensely to the collapse of buildings. It was concluded that 10-25% of buildings that collapse in Nigeria are as a result of the use of poor quality building materials.

All these building collapse are due to our greed as a country .
Well our greed came from refusing to setup local industries to keep people employed.
We took shortcut to be importing all kinds of finished goods
Now our money has finished and we're now using shortcut to achieve wonders up and down.
Everything jaga-jaga.

If ONLY Grandpa Tinubu did the right thing without cutting corners this building wouldn't have collapsed and these kids would still be alive today.

Many evils in Nigeria today can all be traced to one man - GrandPa Tinubu

Dear Children, its time for Y'ALL to fight for ur right.
I join the kids in appealing to GrandPa Tinubu to step down for the man wey sabi.

Nigerian children want Peter Obi!
so tinubu is. Responsible for the building collapse

When u make certain claims that are unrealistic.
U make ur self a disgrace to the obidient movement
Becuz i see no reason why there should be correlation btw these two subjects
Building collapse everyday all around the world

And lagos is overpopulated with huge buildings standing
certainly some poorly maintained it's no magic tragedy happened

RIP to dead

Pls try to make logically reasonable point
