Truly, authentic oha soup requires palm fruit extract.
Palm oil is just an alternative.
When you taste oha made with palm fruit extract and the one made with palm oil, the difference is in the taste.

You are the one that is very wrong. Any CORE IGBO person knows palm fruit is the first choice for our native soups. Palm oil is for township or lazy days. Never the standard. The taste and colour is different.

I have NEVER cooked oha with palm oil.
