Slim Joe and Foxtrot Records On War Path
In November 2010, Slim Joe put pen to papers with Foxtrot Records management as one of the four artistes signed unto the label which included Lace, Anex and Pin. Hiphopmix sources revealed to us that all is not well with the hitherto rosy deal as Slim Joe has purportedly walked out of the contract owing to the inability of the label to fulfil their part of the bargain. The Oti Yan Yan crooner who was already an burgeoning music star with the popularity of his debut album Yanyan Master before pitching his tent with Foxtrot Records with the hope for a turn-around in his career. He released the reloaded version of his album titled Oti Yan Yan Reloaded under the auspices of Foxtrot Records in November 2010.In the words of Slim Joe “ i pulled out of the deal because Foxtrot Records management did not take me serious, they were supposed to shoot the video of Oti Yan Yan Remix with Terry G and a video for another song off my new album. Instead, the label is
riding on my popularity to promote one of their flagship artiste Lace’s song”. Lace is the soul-stirring voice behind the dancehall love song Se Bi Iwo which is quite doing well on the streets
