This month, London is playing host to the 2011 Afrobeats Festival, taking place at the HMV Apollo. On Sunday 28th August 2011 an expected audience of over 5000 Afrobeats and Comedy lovers will make for the world famous HMV Hammersmith Apollo, that has played host to iconic talents such as The Beatles, Adele, Tinie Tempah, Katy Perry and many more.

With an impressive line-up that features the very best in African Music and Comedy; headlining the 1st ever Afrobeats Festival will be award winning afro pop sensations P Square,Wizkid and Ice Prince, as well as superstar comedian, Basket Mouth. Hosted by Choice FM DJ Abrantee, the event will also feature JJC, Big Boyz all Stars, DL, May7ven, Don’t Jealous Me, Elenu, Tunde Ednut and many more.
