The granddaughter of internationally renowned former music icon Bob Marley has drawn harsh criticism for wearing clothing bearing the slogan “White Lives Matter” that was created by rapper Kanye West. Selah Marley, the daughter of artist Lauryn Hill and the granddaughter of reggae legend Bob Marley, decided to assist Kanye in introducing his new clothing line at the YZY fashion show. The catchphrase “White Lives Matter” has been associated with the Ku Klux Klan and mocks the well-known “Black Lives Matter” movement, which promotes racial equality, especially in the USA but also internationally. The fashion show was a surprise event that happened and white Lives Matter was scrawled across a black sweater that Kanye was wearing.
