There are two types of funding: debt (loan) and equity (investment). With debt there is no dilution of ownership. However with equity investment there is dilution of ownership.

Why are we always calling for investment from France and other colonial powers like Spain, UK etc?? By calling for their investment you are making them part owner of your asset.
