Vladimir Putin invoked Hiroshima talks in chat with French President, Emmanuel Macron.

The Russian President's remarks about Hiroshima and Nagasaki nuclear bombings has alarmed Western Europe and USA. Putin cited the bombings in a recent phone call with Macron.

According to findings credited to Daily Mail, the Russian President is quoted as citing the devastation there, and reminded that - 'you don't need to attack major cities to win'.

In 1945, the United States dropped a nuclear bomb on Hiroshima after earlier threatening to do so; days later, they attacked Nagasaki, effectively forcing Japan to surrender in the second world war.
