Last night, I had this conversation with a young friend of mine who had heard about our mentorship program and wanted to be a part of it. 

She piqued my interest when she alluded to being an aspiring radio presenter, so I went further to inquire what station and what she does as a PRESENTER.

 What she said next, left my mouth agape. 

She said and I quote; 'I'm a radio presenter na, it's just that,  I'm not hosting my own programme yet but I'm a regular guest on the radio and I know everything they do there!'

I don't know how long I sat there looking for how to break it down to her without deflating her ego.

But I think I did well because we left the conversation still cool friends.

Now, here's the summary of that meeting…. Being a regular guest on radio doesn't make you a presenter! 

My dear, that you sat in a LIVE radio/TV station for an interview, went there for an excursion, Internship or just to visit with your Uncle doesn't make you a PRESENTER!

If you cannot be a lawyer without going through the  law school or a doctor without Medical school…then your guess is as good as mine. 

Clean that title (radio/tv host or OAP) off your bio,just because you have affiliation with the station,  it's misleading and it could get you in trouble.

Whoops!!
