In first king 10, it is written that Solomon received 666 talents of gold in a year. This is equivalent to 20000kg of gold! And gold is just one of many sources of revenue. How much is an ounce of gold now? |

(666 talents) * (67 lb/talent) * (16 ounces/lb) * ($1735/ounce) = $1,238,706,720. Solomon made the equivalent of 1.24 billion dollars a year, if the biblical record is accurate. |

Despite the fact that he was granted Wisdom and Understanding, he was very hardworking. Studying his trading activity reveals a King who was very proactive in trade. Its not surprising me made such wealth. |
