I quite disagree with you. This present team is more compact and united than any other Argentina squad in history. They are more like a family,united.

People were criticising the coach for not starting some players like Martinez and co. But they forgot this same team has been starting together consistently throughout their 36 games unbeaten. It will be unfair to drop anyone from the starting lineup even when some of them are not in the best of form of lately like Paredes, Gomez, Otamendi, taglifico even Di maria just recovering from injury.


One thing that has constantly always hurt the argentina team overtime is their Top 9. They have always been very bad when it comes to international duty. Even Aguero before his retirement was always not playing upto expectations in argentina colours.

When you look at the french team yesterday. The Number 9, Giroud showed up. In a worldcup, your number 9 must always step up when the pressure is on. But the only time you can see any argentine number 9 showing in a game is maybe when they are not under any pressure. But immediately the pressure that building up on them. They always dissapear, Aguero, higuain, martinez and co... All of them are always like that.

France showed class yesterday,they bullied the Austrailia team. That is how high rated teams are supppose to treat their opponent. It leaves me wondering why Argentina spent the first 3 minutes of yesterday game 'cowardly' passing the ball around, at the back.

Even Chelsea no de allow Ziyech to take free kicks anymore, so why Morocco come ask him?

...maroc should channel that aggressive style of play they've been using in the African continent to do better in the World Cup, infact they have that European pattern of football. If you watched their match against Portugal in Russia 18' World Cup, they were just so unlucky to be pipped one nil as they were the better side...
