I have been bothered by this for a while I think thats a major reason this country is messed up. There is no concept of seriousness even in workplaces which explains why nigerians hate indian and chinese bosses so much. hate them or love them india and china are industrial powers today due to hardworking and serious personalities.

Why do nigerians think everything is a joke?? If there is a serious event in nigeria within a few hrs you will see memes about it, lots of jokes on nairaland about what requires a serious response - the nigerians are not a serious ppl and this shows in life threatening situations - no one ever takes their job seriously but want to tell the next joke or share "funny memes".

And you want to migrate to countries where the people are more serious minded....mschew....

Wrong mentality - the unserious doctor makes mistakes in medical procedures (while being absent minded) and other doctors make memes and jokes about it, the teachers cant be bothered to properly grade assignments, theres blackout because nepa staff is too lazy to connect power and is joking with colleagues in his office because he is suffering and smiling...

see the kind of mentality these people hv - no wonder there is still racism against blacks wen ppl reason like lower animals....

The serious doctors would have migrated long time since! while the unserious ones will still be picking date for the next strike action and same things goes to everyone else.

Reward for seriousness is not in Nigeria so why should we kill ourselves with some fake seriousness?
