Libyan strongman Moamer Gaddafi's wife, two sons and a daughter entered Algeria on Monday, the foreign ministry in Algiers announced.

"The wife of Moamer Kadhafi, Safiya, his daughter Aisha, and sons Hannibal and Mohammed, accompanied by their children, entered Algeria at 08:45 am (0745 GMT) through the Algeria-Libyan border," the ministry said in a statement published by APS news agency, giving no information on the whereabouts of Kadhafi himself.

"This information has been brought to the attention of the United Nations Secretary General, the security council president and Mahmud Jibril, president of the executive council of the National Transitional Council (NTC)," the interim administrative body set up by the rebels fighting Kadhafi for power in Libya, the ministry statement said.

There was no word on the whereabouts of his other children, including Seif al-Islam, his most prominent son, whom the rebels claimed to have captured, together with Mohammed, earlier this month.

Seif al-Islam mysteriously resurfaced, free, days later.

But Italian news agency ANSA said Kadhafi's youngest son, Khamis, had "almost certainly" been killed on the way from Tripoli southwards to Bani Walid.

Seems you believe only your echo. The revolutionists have never said they captured Gaddafi. Even Algeria was the one that declared that some of his family ran to them. Open your eyes and mind

Even if Gadhafi's government is toppled today, he would still have my respect for leaving Libyan Economy 100% debt free, the Libyan economy under Col Gadhafi was stronger than the Spanish, Greek, Portuguese, Nigerian and competed with the South African economy.

I might not be a good economist but I know that oil alone can't sustain a good economy. That been said, Nigeria almost paid all his debt and many countries not owing debt in Africa at the moment. So, those ideas alone don't define a better country especially when the rights of the people are not there.
