Ambassador Ogbuewu is +1
Ad Dei gloriam

The popular saying, that "A great leader posses a clear vision, is courageous, has integrity, honesty, humility and clear focus," has no doubt, described the peerless personality of His Excellency, Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu. He is a strategic planner and indeed, a great leader, who has helped many people to achieve their goals, without blowing the trumpet anywhere.

Ambassador Ogbuewu was an immigration expert, who resigned as Assistant Superintendent of Immigration, and became a Successful businessman, and was doing well outside politics. It could be rightly said that his decision to join politics was not because of what he will get, but what he can give. His aim of joining politics was to save life, and end the bad name in Ikwo as at then. Prior to his emergence as a Local Government Chairman, there was a long term crisis between some parts of Ikwo, and some parts of Cross river State. This particular crisis has caused loss of lives, and damage of properties worth millions of naira. Notwithstanding, this criss has lasted for over fifteen years, and still waxing stronger, and has made so many people to be seeing the people of Ikwo as cannibals, and very pugnacious.

When Ambassador Ogbuewu became the Chairman of Ikwo Local Government, it is very remarkable in the history of Ikwo, that he ended the war, and peace returned to the two conflicting communities. In appreciation of this marvelous stride, all the traditional rulers in Ikwo approached him, and conferred on him, "Ochudo 1 of Ikwo". He remains the first in Ikwo to receive this chieftaincy title. He didn't stop at this, he embarked on massive transformation of all the areas in Ikwo, declared war against unemployment, and embarked on overwhelming infrastructures.

Ambassador Ogbuewu built all the bridges connecting to communities, construct roads, provide electricity to some communities give money to the uneducated to start business, and give jobs to the unemployed. It is on record, that he reduced unemployment to zero level in Ikwo, and maintained peace and security in all the communities in Ikwo, and built the pavilion we have in Ikwo Local Government.

When the then Military Administrator of the then old Enugu State, Colonel Lucky Mike Torey visited Ikwo, he shouted in amazement, and was very shocked on series of infrastructures he met in Ikwo, and inquired the secret of such big success, but, he doesn't know that Ambassador Ogbuewu was doing those wonders with his personal money, in expectation that the Federal Government will soon release money, which was never released till he bowed out of office, and he lost millions of naira to the Local Government.
In 1995, he was conferred, the best Local Government Chairman of Enugu State.

In 1999, he was nominated for an Ambassadorial position which was ratified by the senate. As an Ambassador, he re-opened Nigeria's embassy in Greece which had been shut down for quite some time. He maintained a cordial diplomatic relationship between Nigeria and Greece. In 2003, he left Greece with unprecedented legacies, and returned to his country, and worked tirelessly for the victory of the People's Democratic party (PDP), and was the brain behind the reelection of Dr Sam Ominyi Egwu as the Governor of Ebonyi State.

In 2003, he became the Minister for Culture and Tourism, and as a Minister, he brought innovation in Tourism development, organized and hosted commonwealth games, and organized Abuja Cannival, which brought all the states together, including the FCT, which was never done in the history of Nigeria.
Meanwhile, he established cultural centers in all the thirty-six states of the federation, and cultural village in Abuja. Ambassador Ogbuewu established Tourism council, which generated employment to thousands of Nigerians, and was second in employment generation, after Agriculture. Notwithstanding, he attracted National Herbal garden to his home State, Ebonyi, and many Ebonyians are currently working there till date. Ambassador Ogbuewu is the first and only Minister so far in the history of Ebonyi State, to record such achievements. Till date, his legacies in the Ministry of Culture and Tourism is unprecedented.

In 2015, he formed Elders Council, to bring stability in the PDP Governorship contest. He served as the Chairman, and after the primary, there was no court case in PDP. And when the incumbent Governor was sworn in, Ambassador Ogbuewu remained the Chairman of Ebonyi State Elders Council, a position he used to maintain peace in the State. He served as a father of the State, who advised the Governor on technical matters, using his wealth of experience. He brought all the elders of the State together, and ensured that peace reigned in all the nooks and crannies of the State. When he left as the Chairman of the State Elders Council, he left a big shoe, which has not sized anyone till date.

Ambassador Ogbuewu also served as Pro-Chancellor/Chairman Governing Council of Ebonyi State University. As a Pro-Chancellor/Chairman Governing Council of the University, he ensured that the University was at the best standard, the position of the University improved in NUC ranking, some people were given jobs, welfare of staff and students were protected, school fees was reduced, and there was cordial labour relationship in the University. Till date, the vacuum he created when he left the University governing council is yet to be filled.

On 26th December, 2021, he declared to contest for Senate, Ebonyi Central Zone in 2023, under the platform of the People's Democratic Party (PDP). He received series of endorsements, and solidarity from individuals, group of people, and organizations.

However, on 4th June, 2022, Ambassador Ogbuewu participated and won the PDP primaries for Ebonyi Central Senatorial District. He scored 123 votes, to defeat his closest rival, Ambassador Lawrence Nwuruku, who scored the total of 39 votes.
Others are;
Hon. Kelvin Tobeas Chukwu, who scored 2 votes, Dr Hyginus Nwokwu scored 1 Vote, and Hon. Lazarus Ogbee, who scored 1 vote.

On his speech, Ambassador Ogbuewu appreciated the delegates, and assured them that they will not regret their decision in electing him. He further reaffirmed his determination to win the Senatorial election, under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which comes up on February, 2023, and to bring effective representation to the Zone.

Unfortunately, the victory of Ambassador Ogbuewu was circumvented by the National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, who are more interested in their selfish gains than winning election.

Consequently, on Monday, 14th November, 2022, Ambassador Ogbuewu resigned his membership from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). In his letter of resignation, dated 14th November, 2022, which was sent to his ward Chairman, Mr Gabriel Nweke Chukwu, and the National Chairman, Senator Iyorchia Ayu, said that he left PDP, because, the National Working Committee was more interested in their selfish gains, instead of winning election, and however, thanked the party, for the opportunities he had through the party, to participate in the nation building;
"However, I thank you and the party, for the opportunities I had while working with the party to participate in the nation building, but unfortunately, the action of the current National Working Committee of the Party is unscrupulous. The National Working Committee is more interested in their selfish gains, than winning election. It is on this note, that I resign my membership from the party." On Thursday, 24th November, 2022, during the auspicious occasion, of the APC Presidential Campaign Rally/Governorship Campaign Flag off at Pa Ngele Oruta Township Stadium, Abakaliki, Ambassador Ogbuewu formally joined the All Progressives Congress (APC), with over thousands of PDP supporters and bigwigs in Ebonyi State,
in support of the Gubernatorial Candidate of the Party, Rt Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru. On his words;
"Let me say that on behalf of the thousands of PDP decampees in Ebonyi State, I want to say, that I, Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu, on their behalf, have joined the APC today, in support of our Gubernatorial Candidate, Rt Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, because, he deserves to be voted in as the Governor of Ebonyi State."

Ambassador Ogbuewu is a political heavyweight, a grassroot politician, and a mobilizer, who has thousands of loyalists and supporters across the State.

Ambassador Ogbuewu is an intrepid, dedicated, visionary, and God-fearing leader, who has never occupied a position, without an indelible footprint.

Notwithstanding, Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu is a rare philanthropist, whose philanthropic dispositions have immensely touched lives in so many ramifications. He has helped so many people behind the camera, but some uninformed publics, who dwell on hearsay sometimes believe on figment of imaginations, even without asking questions.

It is an evidential fact, that every sincere philanthropist always have a foundation, where he helps the less privileged, the orphans, and the vagrants.
Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu is a philanthropist with difference, who has positively touched lives. It's on his quest to touch lives, that orchestrated the formation of " FRAJON EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION".

The foundation; "FRAJON EDUCATION FOUNDATION", is a registered non profit, and non governmental organization, properly registered with Corporate Affairs Commission, on January 2010, with Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu as Chairman.

In line with the objective of this foundation;

For a stretch of eight (coolyears, 'FRAJON EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION' conducted free medical services in Ebonyi State, with operational base centres at Ishiagu, in Ivo Local Government Area, and Igboji, in Ikwo Local Government Area. This has been as a result of overwhelming financial sponsorship of the programs by His Excellency, Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu.

In synopsis, the achievements of the foundation, under the Chairmanship/sponsorship of Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu, within the space of nine (9) years, are not limited to the following;

Another 102 children had surgery.

___ In 2016, the medical mission was expanded with a big boost from the Governor, Engr Dave Umahi, SSG, and Medical Doctors from FETHA, through Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu. And they collaborated to treat adults with malaria, diabetes, and HBP. This had over Eight Hundred and Eleven (811) adults treated at Igboji, and another 930 at Ishiagu. Also, Dr Ajah of the blessed memory, a good friend of Ambassador Ogbuewu, was always available to take care of adult patients from Ishiagu, and other towns within the area. 78 children had surgeries ranging from hernia to undescended testicles.

___ In February 2020, the team came to start the 2x visit, to clear the backlog. 98 surgeries were done. Unfortunately, the advent of COVID-19 brought the whole world to standstill, and also placed the medical team on hold.

___ In 2021, 'FRAJON EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION SERVICES', under the Chairmanship/sponsorship of Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu, continued the medical campaign in compliance of COVID-19 protocol, to people living in rural areas. This was done in almost all the communities in Ikwo Local Government Area.

The Chairman of 'FRAJON EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION SERVICES ", and former Minister of Culture and Tourism, Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu has awarded scholarships to over hundreds of indigent young people from his area, and has helped in training many young people and school dropouts in skill acquisition.

However, this is not all the scorecards of Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu. No writer can document all his achievements and positive impacts on the people.

Today, 12th December, is his birthday.
Your Excellency Sir, It is my fervent prayer that God will grant you more successful years to celebrate. May you enjoy your new age and more in good health. May you live long like Methuselah, with the wisdom and riches of Solomon.
