Lagos - Nigeria, one of the largest cities in Nigeria has completed the first Electric Train in West Africa.

The newly completed Lagos intra-city blue line commenced operations yesterday in Lagos, Nigeria.

It is the first of its kind as it is the first electric train and the first intra-city electric train for an ultra-mega city in West Africa.

The train is expected to carry 500,000 passengers daily.

This is a big development for the most populous country in Africa

On behalf of the SolutionReporters Crew, we say a hearty congratulations to the people of Lagos, Nigeria and Africa.

"This is the benefit of political stability; it brings about stable policies, consistency, continuity and continuum in Governance. Lagos is benefiting from Tinubu's legacy. If another political party had won the state, this laudable project would have been abandoned, it is many years of painstaking investment" - Jibril Salihu

"I will be walking to see this beautiful electric train in Lagos, Nigeria as soon as possible in Jesus name.
Amen" - Mario Mabuoch

"Well done, keep it running, maintenance, maintenance, maintenance!!!" - Aminu Ahmed

"Now for a freight railway to take containers out of Harbour to a collection point outside the city, fix the destruction tar surfaces on highways and Lagos will flourish" - Gerhard Mohman

"Well done to the Lagos state government and to Governor Sonwolu for moving in the right direction" - Nija Bae

Please, note that what I said there has nothing to do with beefing. I know the capacity of Lagos state and I know her potential. I have lived here for almost 20 years now. So I understand what I am saying.

People like the poster you quoted are sadists and losers. I have used modern trains all my life per being born and bred, for most of my years, in the UK. Specifically London. A populous mega city like Lagos, New York, Mumbai, Paris etal.

Metro and intra-city rail network is a big deal, totally compulsory for Mega cities, and anyone saying otherwise, rather than praising this laudable achievement of Lagos, is just a hateful loser.

Tinubu is a PLACEHOLDER for Gov Shettima, the earlier you people realize this, the better.

Most of the people pushing escoBAT do not know there's an agenda to just install him by fire by force, and when he is tired and sick before 2 years, Shettima will be sworn-in as President and more Kabiru Sokoto will be hiding in his house.

Even Yaradua was way stronger than him before he became president.

A sick country does not need a sick president.

They are irredeemable children of hate and the only ones who will be disparaging this laudable development the likes of Cameroon, Senegal, Ghana, Benin Republic will be looking at enviously while praying God provides their own Tinubu for them.

Nigeria should let these egotistic and arrogant haters go because they will always envy and hate Yorubas. Especially when, despite their empty noise of 'superiority', Yoruba leaders are doing what is still 100 years or more ahead for the SE.

Obi wants to be President yet when will Anambra, with 50 billionaires per square metre, according to Igbos, have a metro rail system?

All these countries you mentioned have steady Power, why will they pray for a dementia patient to bring darkness to their country. Indeed Nigeria is cursed and irredeemable. Tribal and religious bigots everywhere.

We need constant electricity, good and efficient transport infrastructure plus a tourist-friendly environment overall . Ghana makes billions in USD per year from tourism because it is tourist-friendly while still retaining her beauty and charm.

We can even reverse brain drain because loads of productive and highly-skilled diasporan wish to return to Africa if they can marry a well-paid job with a superior lifestyle to what obtains in the West.

We need to stop making excuses. There will be no excuses made by a Tinubu government ably supported by the best-educated and most productively/technocratically exposed brains including my humble self. cool

Mumu. They have steady power yet Ghana, that loves to compete with Nigeria as Shatta Wale enviously and pettily made clear to the world , still cannot deliver an Accra metro rail despite 'constant power'.

The most obvious sign of a gracious, secure and good-spirited human is his/her ability to give credit where due even if that is to their number one enemy.
