ISW: Russia will not be able to support active offensive operations in 2023 due to a shortage of ammunition.

Analysts said that the Russians exhausted their 122 mm and 152 mm calibre and other reserves in the summer of 2022.

Never EVER forget: The destruction of Ukraine COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED—if the Zelensky regime had simply carried out the Minsk II agreements. No invasion, no millions of refugees, no hundreds of thousands of deaths.

The more you understand, the less you forgive.

But I thought they downed all drones and missiles with pickle jars and that Russia ran out of ammo and missiles in March? Who is bombing Ukraine then? I mean, at least that’s what Reuters been telling every month.

The command restructure is a sign that operations in Ukraine are due to expand. Gerasimov has always been Surovikin's superior, so this does not represent a change in that regard. Rather, they've created what is essentially a theater level command for Gerasimov.

It is not so much that any officers have been promoted or demoted, it's essentially that the status of the operation has been raised. But Surovkin has always been Gerasimov's subordinate, so the claim that he's been fired or something is ridiculous.

NATO is not an defensive alliance. You don't line up a thousand canons along your peaceful neighbor's fence, all pointed at his house, then claim you're only trying to defend yourself.

The Times of Israel writes that Iran has invested millions of dollars in the deployment of an advanced air defence system in Syria amid repeated Israeli attempts to target Iranian targets and arms supply channels to its regional clients.

Citing an unnamed intelligence source from a country allied with the United States, Newsweek reported that Iran has over the past two years "facilitated the deployment of tens of millions of dollars worth of air defence capabilities in Syria to deal with Israeli airstrikes".

The source said the project was overseen by Brigadier General Fereydon Mohammadi Sagai, deputy commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps aerospace force

The US has moved hundreds of pieces of military equipment to Europe, including Bradley infantry fighting vehicles and Abrams tanks.

Around 1,250 pieces of equipment are being delivered by ship to the Netherlands. From there they will be sent to Eastern Europe. In particular, to Lithuania and Poland for strengthening of "the eastern flank of NATO".

In addition, the US earlier announced a massive military aid package for Ukraine, which included, among other things, 50 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles and 18 self-propelled howitzers. Training for Ukrainian servicemen to operate the BMPs will start soon in Germany.

Russian Defense Ministry: On January 11, 2023, the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, made new appointments to lead the Special Military Operation.

Army General Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff of the RF Armed Forces, has been appointed Commander of the Joint Grouping of Troops (Forces).
His deputies are Commander-in-Chief of the Aerospace Forces, General of the Army Sergei Surovikin, Commander-in-Chief of the Ground Forces, General of the Army Oleg Salyukov, and Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the RF Armed Forces, Colonel General Alexei Kim.
Raising the level of leadership of the Special Military Operation is associated with the expansion of the scale of the tasks solved in the course of its implementation, the need to organize closer interaction between the branches and branches of the Armed Forces, as well as improving the quality of all types of support and the effectiveness of command and control of groupings of troops

In the video, they hang containers with an unknown substance from drones. Presumably, this is hydrocyanic acid, which is deadly poisonous.

On January 12, 2016, 10 US marines were captured by Iran's IRGC-N after they illegally entered Iran's territorial waters.

This is the only image available on the planet that shows US marines kneeling in front of another military force with their hands locked behind their heads.
