I blended the red tatashe with my manual blender until I got a smooth paste. I roughly grated my onions.

I thoroughly washed the ponmo before I sliced them into little pieces.

I boiled them on low heat. I added half teaspoon of salt, 1 cube of maggi. And sprinkled a little curry and thyme

When the ponmo became soft and tender, I took them down from the fire.

I fried the onions and tatashe in hot oil before I added the ponmo to it. I then added the green pepper.

I served with 1 egg🥚 . Come and join me

You tried, not like my elder brother who can’t fry simple eggs😂😂😂. He almost burnt the whole house 😁😁 you managed and cook that so well. Kudos.

One last question how does it taste without fish or even crayfish. Instead of the ponmo you can just buy crayfish or fish. My opinion though.

Obavoh, no manual blender can blend tatase (or anything for that matter) this smooth. 🧐

I'm beginning to think most, if not all, of your stories on nairaland are nothing but fiction! 🙄

How do you expect him to describe the taste of the food (without fish or crayfish) ??
Or does it mean you know the taste of the same food when fish or crayfish is added ??

I don't understand.

I thought maggi star was seasoning.
Seasonings add spiciness and taste to food.
There should be nothing to wonder.

I literally imagined (positively) the taste of the food just from the ingredients listed.
Every regular cook should know it too.
Or are you not one ?

But you can differentiate "eating" from "tasting".

At least you can "taste'" food without "eating" food.
And tasting is what we are referring to.

My dear, you and I have been discussing about "taste" from the beginning.
In your first comment in this thread, you specifically asked the OP about the taste of the food and I quote:

"One last question how does it taste without fish or even crayfish. Instead of the ponmo you can just buy crayfish or fish. My opinion though."
