MONEY: FRIEND OR FOE?
I am an invaluable asset
A treasure every man desires to possess
Get me and your needs will be met
And unimaginable pleasures will you access
Endless comfort do I offer you yet
For my presence precludes all forms of distress

I am indispensable to all dwellers on earth
Sought after by both the high and low
I can bring life as well as induce death
For I am at the hub of the world's ebb and flow
To some,I am equal to their life's breath
And I boast of influence over a man's friends and foe

Fortunate is the man who possesses me
But more blessed is he who knows how to multiply me
For I am like a cunning and hazardous sea
An indomitable master that desires to subdue
I can lay waste to he who has me
Therefore, he who has me must learn to own me

He who wishes to own me must learn first to keep me
For I am very hard to come by but so easy to expend
It is impossible for the spendthrift to gain mastery of me
Neither can the parsimonious be my friend
For to own me,one must be liberal in investing me
Thus,to only the wise and prudent can I bend

I am called money
Erroneously regarded as the root of all evil
But the wise do know I'm a defence
Beware! Excessive love for me is injurious like weevils
In the hands of the wise,I am wielded as a tool of change
But in the hands of the careless,I am destructive.
