A Few Stereotypes & Lame Myths About Mattresses You Must Know! by sweetzzz: 12:44pm On Feb 06, 2023
Mattresses You Must Know!

Choosing a new mattress is a painstaking task. And taking advantage of the fact that buyers do not know the nuances, manufacturers introduce stereotypes into people's minds.
Be aware of these lame myths before buying a mattress, whether it's a spring, latex, or honey hybrid mattress. Let’s take a look!
Myth #1
Springs in mattresses with an independent block of springs do not have the desired effect and are not completely independent.
But in reality, one spring affects the other only indirectly. Springs in mattresses where there is an independent spring unit are not connected. But we don't sleep on bare springs. On top is another material, a cover. In most mattresses, except for memory, the elements are somehow dependent.
Myth #2
Hard mattresses are durable.

Mattresses of any firmness are not permanent. Of course, a hard mattress will not sag like a soft one. But, you need to consider the product's composition, the owners' weight, and the features of its use.
Myth #3
No matter how many springs per square meter.

Important. We have already found out that one spring indirectly affects the other. Accordingly, a smaller diameter spring affects a smaller area. And when one spring is located close to another, the mattress adapts better to the body's features.
Myth #4
A spring's number affects the orthopedic effect.

The more springs, the better the mattress will adapt to the anatomy. But, due to the filler, the surface is smoothed. Mattresses with many springs are good because they can withstand more weight.

Myth #5
Mattress made from natural material is better than artificial.

A trick for allergy sufferers. But an allergy can occur to any material. Modern artificial material is usually hypoallergenic. And dust bugs will not appear in the artificial filler.

Myth #6
Natural materials will last less.

The service life of the mattress does not depend on the material. For example, natural latex, horsehair, and coconut coir have a longer service life than mattresses. Usually, it becomes unusable due to deformation and not due to deterioration of the material.

Myth #7
Two sides of one mattress. "Winter" and "summer."

A cool trick that sells the mattress more expensive. Psychological reception. When we touch a "cold" fabric, it is pleasant in the heat. Warm fabric is pleasant in winter. Of course, there are cases where one side is summer (made of cotton), and the other is winter (made of wool). But only a few people sleep without laying sheets on top. By sleeping on the weighted blanket, you won't know which side you're sleeping on. After all, weighted blankets provide warmth in winter.

Myth #8
The spring presses on the body's blood circulation.

Any type of mattress exerts pressure. In response to body pressure on the mattress. Physics. A mattress with independent springs will press pointwise. This pressure is anatomical support. In this position, kinks do not occur, and blood circulation improves.

Final thoughts!
You should always choose your mattress based on your own feelings and ensure that the mattress provides the best support for the body. You should never compromise on either the quality or the reality of your choice, because the issue is about your sleep.
