I just read this on a friend's page on fb;

Motherhood's the toughest 24-hour life-time job. No Pay, no days off, no qualifications or training given and most often unappreciated & yet resignation is impossible!

I agree with her 100%

Kudos to mothers.
Re: Motherhood by ronkebp(f): 6:33pm On Sep 09, 2011
Motherhood is the most interesting and profiting business, you have a longterm profit in it, it is a blessing to be one (a mother). and i ask that GOD open the wombs of those seeking children in Jesus Name, Amen. so that they can feel the pain and joy of being a mother. smiley smiley smiley

I agree with that opening quote (well except the "no pay" part although I understand the person meant monetary gain) and the poster above me . . . mothers are special indeed kiss

Did you not get the memo yet, lol. They call Tati/Daddee/Daddy first, then call a couple of people around you. . .then the neighbour's dog's name. . .then the kitchen sink. . . Then they eventually remember to call Mummy or call you by your real name, so prepare yourself and nor let shock catch you if you hear your son say "Tayo I am hungry cheesy

Na lie jor tongue

At about 9months my baby said 'memmii' loud and clear grin

Infact, I was shoked myself on that day cos she had been saying words like 'daaadi', 'ta' for water, 'tantan', her nickname, amen and some other short words. I guess it's cos I left her for too long and twas at a creche she just started few days before.

Same goes for good fathers.

You can influence the things they say by constantly repeating the words.

My baby's first words were "No biting" at 8 or 9 months. He has said addy, granma, dog, barney, etc. Not once has he said mummy. Point to daddy, he will immediately point. Point to mummy, he will be looking like it is an alien word.
Btw, I am the one that is teaching him all these words. When will he call "mummy"

Being a mother is a natural instinct that started from when we were little girls when we dressed up our teddies and dolls. When we plaited our dolls hair and made imaginary food for them. When we rocked our dolls/teddies to sleep and treated them with special care. That passion kept growing till God could entrust us with real lives.
Today I celebrate every woman who had at one time given up a flat tummy for a bumpy one,who had gone through labour or a CS, who had stayed awake to watch a child sleep, who had denied herself to make a child happy, who has made a house a home where hearts are nurtured in love...
To every pregnant woman who is carrying a seed of love...
And to every woman looking forward to being a mother one day....
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY.
