It's is at the discretion of the company. And if they do they will find a way to share it back amongst all staff. It might not be in cash but in form of sth else |

Bamss1: Like someone said on this thread, his company collects all the tips given to staffs for the whole year. Then in December, they use the tips to give all staff one bottle of malt each. Lol. Tips for a whole year to buy only malt |

If you work in a company that is striving towards best practice in all ramifications tips will be an anathema.....and this is understandable. You are paid to deliver at your duty post. Do the very best you can for the customer. If he is satisfied let him leave with an obligation to repeat the visit/purchase. It then behoves your employer to pay so well (or at least reward you commensurate with your service delivery) that tips become unattractive for you. My take. 1 Like |

PrettyBolu: In my experience as a manager in a fast food restaurant we had to temporarily withhold and redistribute the tips to those on that shift because some representatives practically started begging for tips from customers (some customers were not happy about it) Also, they started fighting for who should attend to a "sure" customer publicly, something which is portraying the company in a bad image. I can tell you for free that the company in question takes care of her staff even with payment of incentives cut across board. 1 Like |
