Dr. Ademola Iyanda Ebeloku On Sabbatical To Lens Poly As Acting Rector, Not Substantive Rector- FEDPOFFA Mgt. Clarifies

Management of The Federal Polytechnic Offa has countered and falsified the reports making round online that, a staff of the Polytechnic, Dr. Ademola Iyanda Ebeloku is serving as a Rector at Lens Polytechnic Offa and not qualified to apply for a rectorship position in another institution.

The report was declared false, misleading and mischievous after our correspondence contacted the Polytechnic spokesman, Olayinka Iroye on Friday 24th of March 2023.

The release reads in full:

"The attention of the management of The Federal Polytechnic Offa has been drawn to a misleading report in some media that the immediate past Dean, School of Business and Management Studies, Dr. Ademola Iyanda Ebeloku is a Rector of Lens Polytechnic Offa, this is done to disqualify him for the rectorship position at the Federal Polytechnic, Ile Oluji, Ondo State.

"The management wishes to state emphatically and reiterate that the institution approved a sabbatical leave for Dr. Ademola Iyanda Ebeloku to the Lens Polytechnic Offa, a private institution as Acting Rector from the 1st of June 2022 to the 31st of May 2023. This implies that he is on loan as an acting Rector for a year sabbatical.

"Any reports insinuating or portraying Dr. Ademola Iyanda Ebeloku as Rector of Lens Polytechnic Offa is misleading, and a mischievous attempt to malign him should be totally disregarded.

"Dr. Ademola Ebeloku is a diligent, dedicated, and committed staff of the Polytechnic whose performance as HOD and Dean remains unblemished. Staff and students are proud of him and management will gladly recommend him for any leadership/ position of authority anywhere with assurance that his performance will be exceedingly outstanding."

Is Acting Rector not performing the role of Rector?
Even if they congratulate him as Rector does that mean is a substantive Rector?
Anyway, Dr Ebéloku is on sabbatical leave at Lens Polytechnic and he is qualify to apply for the position of Rector in any other institution.
