You are either playing to the gallery or like I said earlier, you have never lived in the UK. I'm even more convinced now that it is the latter.

But for the sake of others who might be reading, I'll debunk some of the nonsense you've written up there.

1) the UK tax system is based on marginal payments of tax. Your entire earnings are NOT taxed. First everyone gets a personal allowance which is circa 12.5k. Tax is only paid on earnings above that.
Any amount earned above up to circa 50k is taxed at 20%
Above 50k is taxed at 40% and above 125k is taxed at 45%
So for example, a person earning 60k will only pay tax on 47k( the first 12k exempt from tax), 20% on 37k and the remaining 10k at 40%.

2) You do not know how mortgages work or any form of debt or even house buying. You must sniffing glue to assert that total repayment on a 600k mortgage over a 30 year term will be 1.8million.

There are Nigerians living in the UK, who live in houses that are more expensive than 400k, earn well and are doing OK.
