This is the interior of a 4-star Nigerian hotel?

Unappealing. Tasteless.

Nigeria standard it's a four star, international standard it's a two star hotel.

No website, you can not even see any trace of it in the internet

Oga if you like, pretend. That hotel there is more than 300million, put that money into industry and watch how many people that will be feeding under him.
Until Nigerians change their mind set, we will never move forward.

That Hotel there my friend is nothing less than a billion. no how you can construct that for less than 1bn together with the facilities.

True factory is good but hotel also serves as enployment for our teaming youth, while building a factory might have many intricacies and technical knowledge, hotel seems less. What should be on the fore front is how hotel workers should earn respecful wages (minimum 150k+), guaranteed work, and retirement pension funds.
Most US billionaires also invest alot in hotels in fact people prefare to work in hotels than factories.

Exactly what I keep telling people who complain about lack of jobs......hotels are being built everyday while factories are dieing or totally non existent.....there are now hotels on virtually every street with almost all totally unviable.

People will just have money and waste it all in the ne of building hotels.....there are so many lying fallow or very poorly managed and the owners money gone down the drain because nobody is even willing to buy and if there is,it's for a poor value.

This ventures adds next to nothing to our nation's economic growth compared to building factories or putting your monies in investment funds.....it's really sad

Same would happen if such ones build factory. Most Nigerians are knowledge deficient, we don't know how to manage and generate honest wealth! We want independent quick rich schemes hence no patient to learn and study market dynamics even harder technical manufacturing dynamics so we choose the easy way out, hotels and hostels.

Just from this pictures I can tell that the rooms are low standard. U guys should learn to things right embrace quality and perfection.

Yes. They should start by moving the furniture that is blocking the windows which is not safe or aesthetically pleasing. Next, it would take very little effort to conceal the exposed electrical cords. Everything looks rushed.

Sorry, this is no way close to 4star. This will pass for 3 star...and the interior so boring. Exterior too looking like 19th century design concepts.

Who designed this pile of blocks tho?this is design is suitable for a home not a commercial property like a hotel especially in 2023.

These people need to engage creative and inventive architects for such projects.

does anyone else find it weird that this building looks better at night than during the day? I couldn't quite figure it out until I started looking at the color scheme. who gave you guys this paint and color combination? this triggers an instant headache.
can we agree to plan out our designs, and do a peer review before we implement them, this looks like it was just made up as it was being built.

I hope the makeup for this with good services

I agree with you.
There's this new hotel in Benin opposite kada cinema. Fine structure but odd colours.

As manifest in every facet of our lives.....the money used to build that hotel will build a very good shoe or garment factory in ABA or a standard food company in PH......it's really so annoying as the new fad is building hotels as a form of status symbol or competition.....it's more about showing off than business..

is it goats he will employ there?
The vendors that will be supplying things to the hotel are they not human beings?
The market women that will be selling food stuffs are they not benefitting?
Nothing stands in isolation..every one benefits. His money, his choice of investment.

Nigerian architects really need to improve on their designs

They are too crude in design and implementation. Civil engineers too are too local.
We rarely use quality materials or follow standard building codes in Nigeria.

How many industries do you have? Do you think it is even easy to run a hotel? Don't hotel employ staff? Many factories underpay their workers same as Hotels don't sound as if Factories pay upto 100k a month, some factories that pay peanuts per hour.
Also don't forget that foods and other materials that will be used in running and maintaining the hotel will be sourced locally here and that's cash exchanging hands.
Build a factory and at the end you will see that currently the cost of production will be higher than when the goods the factory produces are sourced from abroad.
Just the way hotels are springing up everywhere, when the country is ripe, factories will also spring up. One can even convert his apartment to a production factory and will be making money steady from there, till then, don't tell people how to spend their money
