Popular Drink Company Loses $6billion After Collab With Transgender Influencer by DyshApp: 11:49pm On May 03, 2023 |
Budweiser has recently suffered a massive loss of sales by 17% in the three weeks since they began their paid partnership with Dylan Mulvaney, a transgender influencer. In "her" controversial advert, Mulvaney posted a clip of herself sipping from a one-off, custom Bud Light can with her face on to promote its March Madness competition. However, the backlash the advert received from the loyal customer base made parent company Anheuser-Busch lose $6 billion in market cap within six days. On Friday, April 14th, Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Whitworth released an apology saying, "We never intended to be part of a discussion that divides people. We still have alot of sane people in the world. Americans and Europe can accept anything thrown at them but alot of people are still enlightened about the real gender. 2 Likes |
