Hosting your website in Nigeria may not be the same as hosting it in a foreign country, especially if your target audience is primarily in foreign countries. This is because the location of your web hosting server can affect the speed and accessibility of your website for users in different regions.

If your website is hosted in Nigeria, it may experience slower loading times and potentially lower search engine rankings for users in other countries due to issues like latency, which can affect user experience. Additionally, some foreign countries may have stricter regulations or censorship policies that could affect your website's availability and accessibility.

That being said, there are several web hosting companies in Nigeria that offer reliable and fast hosting services with options for global content delivery networks (CDNs) and other features that can improve website speed and performance for global audiences. It's important to do your research and choose a reputable web hosting provider that can meet your website's specific needs and requirements.

where you host ur website matters. because it determine downtime which translate to ranking . although almost all Nigerian hosting companies that does well are just like affiliate to all this foreign companies.
with our light problem and lack of funds to adequately get data center in two or three places in nigeria and outside Nigeria I doubt if any Nigerian company can adequately run this business without loses

This is not true. I said this becus most Nigerian host like Signonhost, whogohost, web4africa and so on don't have their servers or dataceneters in Nigeria.

Where your site is hosted is not the issue here. Although domain name extension can impact your traffic as .ng names will get better traffic locally, but your host does not matter here.

I can talk more on this later.

Your host matters a lot... but not demographically per say but overall performance.

When u hosted on a virtual server n one on shared hosting that is overloaded... the performance will not be same.
