I just checked back this morning after the so called NEPA brought back light and saw that the client has hired someone else, I really feel pained that after struggling to land a job and this particular one came but lost it because of NEPA. I will never forget this day and I am waiting for who will come and tell me to be a patriotic Nigeria. This country is a mess. Any country that can give 24/7 power supply is far better than Nigeria even if is Sudan. I feel pained!

I always say this country kills dream idea talent in you. You can imagine my he just experience due to poor electricity in Nigeria. Giant of Africa that can't produce steady light for citizen. Rubbish country

I have been applying since today and no client has replied. I don't think there is any amount of money I would earn that will convince me to remain in this country. Now I know why many people with full time white collar jobs in big companies still leave Nigeria. Ordinary 24/7 electricity, I won't see and someone will convince me to remain in this country and be patriotic. God forbid bad thing! This country is a big disappointment.

I’m also looking to escape from the prison so yeah I need money.

There is also the issue of integrity and (maybe) racism. So it is a good sign that you were shortlisted.

Once you decide to delve into remote work, know you have to be a step ahead. Have backup network and power source for your laptop at least. Once upon a time I wondered what people use laptops for, but if you want to send me into PANIC MODE now, take my mouse. Not even the laptop itself. Lol

Way back I bought a smart laptop powerbank. It cost me 75k or so. I rarely use it these days because we done grow, but I still go with it on trips. So, do what you have to. Remote work is capital intensive to setup, but when it begins to pay, you will know Nigeria is for our enjoyment.

I haven't had these issues in a while and you know my skillset na to face one employer. Once you are in, they tolerate your petty downtimes.

I asked a question about your batteries you didn't answer, do you do PHP ?

I bought the laptop as used but on a full charge, it will last me for 2hours+ when connected to the internet. The battery was already low before wanting to charge it. I will code Javascript, ReactJS
