Sorry airbay is it a known fact that nhs only sponsor band 5 upwards and only for clinical roles? Because my sister wanted to apply for nhs care work on thier site and now that you are saying they dont sponsor anything below band 5 i have to tell her the sad news. But first i need to ask u if that statement is a fact? That they dont sponsor lesser than band 5 |
Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by Jaylord11: 7:54am On Jul 09, 2023 |
eniola1010: Well, l heard they sponsor from band 3 upward. While in Scotland, NHS sponsor from band 2 upward. This is an unconfirmed info though. |
Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by Nobody: 9:11am On Jul 09, 2023 |
eniola1010: Care work is different. Healthcare assistants, support workers etc. can be sponsored at any band insofar as the salary meets the benchmark listed in the shortage occupations list, which is about 14 - 20k depending on the specific code. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/skilled-worker-visa-shortage-occupations/skilled-worker-visa-shortage-occupations P.S. This is from Googling . Iβm not an authority on the subject so please ask others. I know thereβs a thread for this specific care visa so perhaps ask there too. 1 Like |

Is it allowed for a tier 2 visa holder to trade stock via platforms like trading 212? I'm seeing conflicting information online. Some say there are no restrictions while others say it's not allowed since it is taxable. |
Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by AirBay: 1:42pm On Jul 09, 2023 |
eniola1010: Hello, I cannot confirm any recent lower bands that were sponsored. During my own time, only band 5 and above get sponsored. There is no harm in applying. Inform your sis to apply to as many trust as possible. Also, a lot of Nigerians working as psw are been sponsored by care homes but I have not come across anyone that is working at that level with NHS in both England and Scotland. This does not mean they don't exist but maybe the number is small. |

Viruses: Come to think of it, is the Trading 212 not thesame as every other stock and shares ISA out there with 20k annual limit? If so, why are some folks saying it is personal business because of the profit made from trading stocks |

Please, which is cheaper to go to for prescription glasses (eye test+lense+frame) . I only know of Specsaver and Boots and I'm not sure which is cheaper. And is it possible not to buy a frame from them, maybe order from Amazon if they are cheaper? |

There's also Vision Express. I know of someone who got a fairly good offer with Specsavers. Eye test was free (they usually have vouchers/coupons for free test). After the test, they gave their recommendations + prices. You can bargain as they usually have discounts also. I think they allow you to bring your frame is you like. NnenaRita: 2 Likes |
