Police Extortion Even In The Police Station, How Do We Handle It Or Report Them? by ericmor: 12:50pm On Jun 05, 2023
Hello everyone, I have a question regarding police extortion in police stations. They are attempting to extort one of my friends' funds despite the fact that he paid them N10,000 for the arrest of the suspect and they had already received N20,000 in bail money from the defendant.

The defendant was arrested after falsely receiving 150k from someone, and the family paid 50k and promised to pay the remaining 100k the first week of this month. She was then released on bail after collecting 20k.

The suspect provided the complaint N50,000 this week, and did not say when the balance of 50k will be paid, therefore the ipo wants to take another N10,000 from the funds.

What can the individual do? how do we inform the superior of the circumstance because they are making things difficult for the complainant.

And one change I've seen in the police is that they now demand payment for their services; if you don't pay them, they won't handle your case. How then can the poor guy obtain justice?

Since the problem is out of control and destroying civilization, something must be done.
