FUNAAB aka UNAAB finally dropped the bombshell on her incumbent pre-degree and external candidates(jambites) by unexpectedly raising their cut-off mark from 180-200. This is pathetic and dishearting, but some still crossed over this hurdle. Halleluyah!

accepts it as a criteria for admission. The program
is open for courses in Science/Engineering,Social
sciences, Arts and Humanities
The program (IJMBE) as articulated on page 4, item
2.2 of the JAMB brochure, runs for less than a year
during which candidates will receive lectures in
preparation for the final examination(coming up by
February 2015)
During the program you will be groomed
extensively on your subject combinations. The
subject combination is being determined by the
course you want to study in the University(as
applied to UTME). For instance, a student who
wants to study Law will offer Literature-In-English,
Government and Economics/ Business
administration.
The Requirements for the Program is a complete O/
Level Result (Max of 2 sittings) and 7 Passport
photographs.
Candidates with deficiency in Mathematics and
English Language can also apply as they will have
the opportunity of registering for any/both subjects.

Yes, UNAAB will soon invite you through text message to take part in an entrance exam with other potential applicants. I advise you to start reading especially if you're in science. They'll use your score to determine your admission. Goodluck!

The last pdg entrance exam was paper based. But i heard this year could be cbt, so you should prepare for both. 3 science subjects (phy, chem, bio) or mgt (econs, comm, govt/acct) with English and Maths as General Subjects respectively.

WHAT IS IJMBE

Every year, a vast multitude of admission seekers strive to gain admission into various tertiary institutions through utme/jamb. Its like trying more than on key in a single keyhole at a time! It is with this reason that a programme was design to serve the need of admission seekers. IJMBE is an acronym for Interim Joint Matriculation Board Examination. The programme is the product of the initiative of Ahmadu Bello University. An accredited centre is here in ILORIN although the sit of administration and cordination is Zaria. The programme takes applicant into 200 level in any Nigerian private or public university that accepts it as a criteria for admission. During the programme you will be taught extensively, but only in three subjects. For example, if you wish to study medicine or biochemistry, then your subjects combination
is BIOLOGY,  CHEMISTRY,  PHYSICS.

The final result is calculated in points. The higher the
points, the better for you, that is:

5   4   3   2   1   0

Now, if a student going for medicine gets   A in biology, B in physics, C in chemistry then his aggregates becomes
12 POINTS with the addition of 1 point if there is no F in the grades making a total of 13 POINTS

The cut off mark for science last year was put at (42) later reduced to 38. Each subject contains 20 questions. But the modality maybe changed this year.
