But the truth is, regardless of who comes in as the president of Nigeria presently will have a very hard time making head way. Not even Obi. Buhari was allowed to stay too long in that office. He destroyed it completely to the foundation; after failing to appoint ministers and other cabinet members in time, He should have been stoned out of office. The say baba fools all rode on emotions, again when we had a little window of redemption, the brown roofers come chief betrayals ruined everything. |

Shokoloko: Been done several times in the past...that's what the periodic increases in price of fuel in the past were for..partial removal of subsidy. And it does not work...because when the cost of production rises, your subsidy cost rises. In 2012, Jan, fuel was N97, and landing cost was N99. By 2015 sept, fuel was N87 and landing cost was N132...the difference between the landing cost and the price at the pump being the subsidy...see how it grew in 3 years. And that was done doing partial removals. Plus people would still complain that the price is too high. |

nairalanda1:Another 'because' of yours that is flawed. The question was why are Nigerians using generators. Egypt generates 59,000 megawatts. Most of the power investment were done by their government. Egypt pays electricity subsidy. They don't use generators there. 1 Like |

jmoore: Egypt no longer pays electricity subsidy...it gradually went over the last ten years Also, Egypt has a diversified economy, which means more revenue. That's on top of their very strong tourism sector. Finally, I doubt Egypt allows everyone to connect to the grid, like we did in Nigeria. It's planned, so to speak. Nigeria is not rich enough. We rely on oil, oil money isn't enough unless we were ten million, and we don't adequately tax our GDP. 1 Like |

nairalanda1:It is ordinary Nigerians that will diversify it for you? Why not sell Nigeria to countries that can make it work? I am surprised you didn't bring in population to this as you usually do. Nigeria is rich but your corrupt politicians are looting. Corruption is 95% of Nigeria's under development. 1 Like |

FreeStuffsNG:hehehehe....you have not even learnt from rushing to praise your party government. Some of you are amazing......lolzzz. Some of us are not saying anything yet because the main issues hasn't been addressed and it is still early to criticize the government. Look at the 8 years of your party government wasted and you have started your usual sycophancy again. |

Additionally, some areas in Lagos and eastern Nigeria have reported improved power supply over the past two months, contributing to the reduced demand for generators. .And truly there's improved power supply in southeast. Awka for example, I don't know for other parts in southeast. |
