Siasia's Statement After Failing To Qualify For Nations Cup by Grassroot: 7:32pm On Oct 08, 2011
Reaction from Nigeria coach Samson Siasia to their exit from the tournament today. "We want to apologise to all Nigerians. We have not qualified for the Nations Cup and we take responsibility as a team," Siasia said. "We did our best, we dominated the game, we created chances, but we failed to take our chances and we gave up a last minute goal. "We understand the frustration of the fans because they love their team so much. But sometimes, football can be cruel."

I'm not sure he understands the frustration of the fans.

What more do fans want from him. To kill himself or to start crying. Abeg Sia1 just make sure to collect your settlement if they decide to dismiss you.

All the fans ever wanted was to take his team to the nations cup as he promised. He promised to deliver. I can remember Siasia promising spanking some teams. With all the resources at his disposal, the fans dont want apologies. There's no excuse for failing to deliver. We would sit back and watch teams like Niger, Burkina Faso, Lybia, Sudan playing the nations cup.
