Students' Projects Competition: Ede Poly to represent South West in Abuja

Students from the Federal Polytechnic, Ede, Osun State, Odunlade Olumayowa Agboluaye and Adeyeye Peter, who came second and third respectively at the Zonal Students' Projects Competition, organized by the Committee of Deans of Polytechnics and Colleges of Technology (COMPODET) are about to represent the zone in Abuja.

While Agboluaye represented the National Diploma(ND) category from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, with project titled: Construction of Digital Display Board with SMS, Peter participated in the Higher National Diploma(HND) category, from the Department of Computer Engineering Technology, and presented a project titled: Design and Construction of ARDUINO NANO Trainer.

This was contained in a memo signed by the Dean, School of Engineering Technology of the school, Engr. Dr. Dauda Adekunle Folarin, the copy which was made available to newsmen by the institution's Protocol, Media and Public Relations Officer, Sola Lawal, in Ede on Thursday.

According to the memo, the two students were expected to represent the South-West Zone with Dean, School of Engineering Technology and their Instructors at the National level which is expected to hold between 4th and 8th August, 2023 in Abuja.

"The School of Engineering Technology appreciates the Management of Federal Polytechnic, Ede for sponsoring the competition.

In his reaction, the Rector of the institution, Engr. Dr Man Yahaya Sani attributed these fits to hard work and total commitment on the part of the entire workforce within the school.

He, therefore, charged them to redouble their efforts and sustain the academic excellence which the citadel is known for since its inception.

The Rector also advised the students to make sure they clinch the first position in the forthcoming competition as the institution is always ready to reward excellence.
