I want to confirm something from you.
If I have an assessment notice and it took time for me to pay and the custom rate increases.
Can I still pay the amount on the assessment notice or I need to pay at the new custom rate

As far as u have the assessment no matter the increment, what you have on the assessment is what you'll pay for ever

Let me explain better. I have a RX350 2018 that got to the port since mid 2023. The custom fee then was 6.8M which I have the Assesment Notice.
The custom clearing agent scammed me and japa after I paid him.
Okay now, he sent me the assessment notice which was generated since 2023 and I paid it to Gtbank myself today.
Now I forwarded it to the new clearing agent and he’s telling me I need to pay over 1M+ to an “unofficial account” cos the new money I should pay should have been about 12M but he’s helping me.
I just want to be sure about the law that guides the custom payment before I start fighting cos this thing is so frustrating this days mehn.
I might just trend it on twitter cos or just mail them.

when Exchange Rate was 1800, it was 3.8m, now it's 1250, it's still 3.8m. Make una take am easy o. These things are highly inflated here.

Should be about 3.4m at current rate. No way it's 3.8m at 1800 to a dollar. That was clearly compromised duty.

sir his job has been assessed already since last year so there's no need for additional duty except settlement
