MTN Nigeria service in Egbeda, Raji Oba, Jakande Estate, Ipaja even in Iyana Ipaja is rubbish. I cannot wait to exhaust my present internet bundle before moving to a better network. To open a web page is terrible to down load 1MB is a tug of war I am fed up with the network even Airtel GPRS is faster than EDGE showing by MTN in these areas. There network ranges from -85dBm to more than 100 which cannot open a web page on a phone.

Not sure it's just MTN - I've had similar problems with Airtel, with large outage periods. I was surprised to get 3g at all, and the only place I got it was at the airport.

I suggest you hold on to your MTN SIM, even if you do change networks. Don't be suprised if you have the same problems with another network. It may be a reception problem, but I've found that the rainy season and bad weather are contributing factors.
