The Amateur Photographer competition is the brainchild of Replica Digital Photo Centre. It is aimed at giving opportunities for raw talents to express themselves creatively in photography, help talents to realize their potentials and value for creating outstanding works.

Replica is using this channel to redefine photography in Nigeria.

The launch of The Amateur Photographer Competition is due to start at 11pm today, watchout for more updates!

MD/CEO of Replica Digital Photo Centre, Mr. Ayoola Gam-Ikon just finished his welcome address!

Lagos State Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN) giving his speech- he is ably represented at the event by Mr. Deji Balogun of Lagos State Television.

Ace Photographer Kelechi Amadi Obi, a member of the Panel of Judges for The Amateur Photographer Competition is currently giving his speech.

Mr. Tope Bailey of Replica Digital Photo Centre is presenting the details of The Amateur Photographer Competition.

The competition is going to run for 3 months with the best 10 entries for November, December and January moving forward into the grand finale which will be aired live on Television and Judged by the competition's eminent Panel of Judges which includes Veteran Photographer Don Barber, Ace Photographer Kelechi Amadi Obi and Olisa Adibua of The Beat 99.9 Fm, Lagos.

In addition monthly draws will be held with several prizes to be won.

The theme of the competition is The Environment and KPMG will be auditing the entire process to ensure transparency and accountability.

Registration fee for the competition is N2,000.
