i,m just 4/10 in html and i use dreamweaver ,but i 26yr and i want to be financially independent from my folks now, cos i have wasted 7 years in the university witout getting a degree, i just got admission to do computer science in a school now, but i need to find a source of hope for my future, i,m crazy abt IT, but i need to go step by step, i really need help from you guys pls. i got encouraged to start web dev when my uncle told me to join nairaland in jan 2007, but i,ve been lost since then |

For Java, all you need is a JDK (java development kit): http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html I'd also suggest downloading the Eclipse IDE (integrated development environment.) Lots of nice additional features that make it a bit nicer than a pure text editor. Then I'd suggest getting a good book to teach the java language. "Head First Java" is one I like. |

Head First Java you can get off of bit torrent, hehe  Or if you google around you might be able to find a direct download of the PDF. |
