The F-35 was left in autopilot mode when the pilot ejected from the jet, Jeremy Huggins, a spokesperson for Joint Base Charleston, told NBC News in a story Monday, signaling there’s a possibility the aircraft could still be airborne somewhere.

In a tweet, Joint Base Charleston asked members of the public to call the base if they have “any information that may help our recovery teams locate the F-35.”

I didn't. The news broke since morning and I have watched it live on cable.

The pilot ejected from the plane and they are already searching the lakes in South Carolina.

The pilot was found but aircraft is missing.After emergency ejection by the pilot and aircraft was left on autopilot mode it vanished out of rada that it couldn't be traced or tracked.Could it be in the midair within valleys?Because if its altitude were within visible range it would have been found.
