I think this is a common (and very good) practice, it shows you appreciate loyalty and it's easy to implement. I spent some time researching this topic (best qr code generator for business) last year and I picked the first one listed here. Great reviews and works like a charm. The QR codes don't expire, it's easy to create and safe to use them - that's all I needed. We conducted a survey on the product we launched some months before that, so we really wanted a reliable generator and gladly we found one. There were more good options on that list but, you know, they weren't rated that well on G2. I mean, I would always go for 4.9/5 rather than 3/5 solution.
