There are several "how to" cooking videos on youtube. Many of them are on rice, some on soup, moin moin, etc. There are several recipes that can be found on foods, but I'm a visual learner, and I know many prefer learning that way too. I think videos help a lot in the learning process, especially for something like food/cooking. I'm starting this tread so that others can add videos they've made or share some favorites they've stumbled across on youtube.

One I couldn't find was bitter leaf (onugbu) soup. Anyway, I went ahead and made a video for bitter leaf and it is on youtube but I'll put it here.

The recipe is included in the video. That was my first video. If it's lame, then hopefully I'll improve as I make more lol.

Did she eat it with rice? Yuck! Lol

Ogugua, it would be cool to increase the size of your video(s).
Cool video, babez. The music even made it more cool. . . .I (The Binis) don't use cocoyam for bitterleaf soup. However, there should be only a little difference in taste.

That's a new method of doing egusi. I've never seen anyone blend onion and then add it to ground egusi like that. It still looked yum though.

*face palm* That woman's okra soup. I remember seeing that video a while ago. I've never seen okra cooked like that or eaten that way ever lol. Octopus too? Hmm. She looks like she enjoyed it anyway lol.

This looks yummy, but time consuming lol.

Looks yummy? You've never had the Nigerian fried rice? You should try it oh . . .rich and indeed yummy. Lol
Yes, it takes quite some time to prepare but it's worth it. It's usually cooked in a large quantity because it's not something you make everyday (due to time factor).
I don't parboil my rice, I just wash and then cook in broth. Yes, I boil chicken first and then use the broth for rice.

Well, whenever my mom makes fried rice, it's only boiled rice with seasonings, vegetables, and shrimp. It sounds delish fried though loool. *whispers* Fried foods are quite amazing.

I'll have to try making it one day though. One day that I'm free lol.

And oooh, yam tongue I don't think I've had yam since I've been home. It's difficult getting it out here sometimes.

Because I like fried food and small chops lol, here's puff puff:

It looks easy but it's one thing my mother hasn't made successfully lol. I haven't tried making it myself. I'll post my failure/success when I do lol.
