blink182:

Selective photography. Its like going to lagos to snap only VI, and saying that's what lagos looks like knowing fully well that there are mega slums there.

The larger part of enerhen and effurun will probably be destroyed when we finally get a governor. Its that bad.

BINGO!!!

The current reality

The area around Effurun roundabout is overgrown with grasses.

Airport road is filled with potholes.

All the drainages in Warri are blocked.

NPA-DSC express way has many failed portions ( eg. opposite Wellington hotel)

There is a huge refuse dump along the expressway to NPA.

All d streets in Okumagba layout are filled with water satchets and dirts.

Polokor market is something else.

I can't take pictures cos I'm afraid of Uduaghan (Effurun and Itsekiri) boiz ,

Should I continue ?

beaf again This dude for real must be a mediocre!

Warri presently can be classified as a glorified town. I was ashamed of the city when I travelled down there very recently!

@poster, pick-sure campaign wouldn't change the reality that the present delta governor is as clueless as is Theodore Orji of Abia and Timi Slyva of Bayelsa states! - genectically engineered failures -

Why are all of you developing fever over Warri like dis na? Please post a pic of your state capital to compare, or just tell me your state capital for me to post. LOLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!
Warri is not even a state capital.

Here is a challenge, post pics of your zinc roofed state capital so I can compare, not to Asaba or Warri or Ughelli or Sapele (that would be sheer wickedness), but to Koko, Oghara, Mosogar, Abraka, Orerokpe and other smaller towns in Delta state.

Yours is all rivers of zinc, bro! grin grin grin grin grin

@Beaf and Jason,

Please please stop justifying Uduaghan's failure.

I grew up in Warri and I know what Ibori did during his tenure. Uduaghan is just a waste of time.

Now I'm beginning to wish Ibori spent some more years as governor.

And please stop comparing Delta with Osun state.

Delta should be comparable only to the FCT and Rivers (forget Lagos)

So, because Uduaghan is a failure it means warri is ugly and we shouldn't be proud of where we are from?
You people are very annoying. angry

Warri remains a beautiful place that evokes jealousy from the rampant bigots on NL, strangely it is not even the state capital. These folk would be joyous to have many of our much smaller towns as their state capitals.
This is scenery from Abraka for the haters to puzzle over. Delta state can lend them a village as state capital! Lol!

If u assume warri is cool because of the pix u saw, then u are in for a rude shock.

Dont go too far; just drive down to Sari Igamnu, Olodi Apapa, AJ City or Okoko in Lagos,
Borikiri, Mile 4,Waterside or Ikwerre In PHC,
those are the closest examples to the real waffi
Re: The City Of Warri In Pictures by redsquare(m): 1:02pm On Oct 24, 2011
Good pix there Beaf and Jason. Never knew Warri has some lush and fine areas like these. For those asking for pictures of slum, which city in the world does not have a slum? Name them, from New York to London to Kuala Lumpur to Rio de Janeiro.
