I think it's best to see it as:with the presence of Cybercrime, youths that could have been productive in the country and in life as a whole,they would rather seek shortcuts for money through fraud.

First Nigeria needs to be working functional society for the rate of fraud boys to deflate

Fraud is being encouraged in our society today. Almost everybody wants to cut corners in their quest to make money be it legal or illegal.

Some are suggesting teaching a Yahoo boy programming I laugh. Imagine teaching a local thief who is using knives and sticks for his operations how to make a gun. Fraud is still at a very infant level in Nigeria because many of the fraudsters lack programming skills and computer science concepts in general, it will only get worse if they have such skills.

The majority of Nigerian fraudsters don't phish, clone bank apps, or spam Nigeria debit cards and banklogs. Because they lack the needed skills. They don't even care about their own OpSec, as such fishing them out is not a difficult task.

The question remains even if you publish their details and fish them out. Will our law enforcement agencies act on such information and do their job without compromise? I believe that as much as the Nigerian factor is involved you know the answer is a capital NO.

Our security agencies are corrupt and lack good forensic and computing skills to fish out these fraudsters. Even if the so-called fraudsters are caught, in as much as they are ready to grease the palm of our law enforcement agencies, then it will be a never ending loop of business as usual.

In a closing remark, we can fight yahoo/cybercrime by educating our friends, and family members on how yahoo and internet fraud works, and spamming the fraudster's phone lines, emails, and social media pages. Even with that people will still fall prey to fraudsters, because mugu no go ever finish and story no dey finish. People still fall for sportybet account refill till date. Fraud will only get worse with time.
