Students at Adamawa State Polytechnic went wild on Monday over the alleged theft of private parts from six male students.

Witnesses claimed that two strangers visited the polytechnic and shook hands with the students, after which the private parts of the affected students reportedly shrank to the size of a matchstick.

The witnesses stated that other students quickly gathered, intending to confront the strangers and possibly have them reverse whatever they had done.

However, security agents prevented the students from taking matters into their own hands.

According to a source, “The students became violent because the police and polytechnic authorities prevented them from lynching the suspected private part thieves.”

The students blocked Galadima Aminu Way in Jimeta, a major road along which the polytechnic’s main campus is located.

It took a frantic effort from security personnel, including the military, police, and civil defense, to restore order.

The polytechnic’s spokesperson, Albert Matilah, confirmed that the incident occurred in the morning hours.

He explained, “We woke up to this unfortunate situation: There have been rumors that criminals who specialize in snatching private parts of individuals were in town. And this morning, six of our students complained that their private parts had disappeared.”

Matilah also added that the culprits had been apprehended and handed over to the police.
