To many foolish souls on this boundary called Nigeria, I have personally experienced a similar divert to asaba going to Abuja and we waited almost 2 hours before flying into Abuja due to bad weather.

you missed the point , if it was a diversion it would have been announced on the PA sustem and the flight attendance would have knowed.

There is more to this story as if it was a diversion it shuld have gone to Enugu airport with a longer runway than Asaba airport with a shorter runway.
