I have noticed recently that players who are versatile are preferred over players who are specialists.



Players who can do a little bit of everything are
favoured over players who can do one thing
well.


They call it being a Total Footballer.


Nowadays a goalkeeper is not a goalkeeper if
he can't build up play from the back,
and contribute to the attack.


An example is what happened to DeGea at
Man United






The question is:

Is Versatility more Important than Specialisation?
