More money to women equals more ego,pride,sturboness nd believe that not only men should be the head of the family,unfortunately naija Men can't deal with that cox they have been programmed from Childhood that their number one position as the head of the family should never be rivaled,thus a crash in marriage

Women’s rights are respected and that comes with more power for them.

I can't really say, what happened to Mr. A family might not happen to Mr. B family.

Men- The men were treating the wives badly in Nigeria.
-The men refusing to do house chores (only rich people have maids abroad).
-The men refusing to hustle or upskill when the wife has a good job like Nursing.
- Upholding Patriarchy in a matriarchal society.

Women- more money/benefits as a single mother than wife.
-The freedom and power can intoxicate.
-Peer pressure- ( a divorced 9ja man told me there is telegram group in Ontario where 9ja women coach fellow women on how to divorce and the benefits).
-Woman is working, doing chores taking care of the kids , contributing to bills . Oga is only contributing bills and demanding delicacies daily. The woman gets tired and wants a divorce.
Cheating- some men are addicted to cheating from 9ja.

Cultural differences
Nigerian women takes lot of shits just because culture made it to be so but when abroad they discovered their right in marriage and it becomes a game changer.

Nigerian men move abroad with Nigeria mentality forgetting the saying that when you move to Rome you behave like a Roman

Nigeria culture relinquish women in the background while abroad women are been respected and recognized and it helps Nigerian women to recognize how important they are

Abroad nothing like a man is the head of the house they practice gender equality, in Nigeria a man who has nothing to offer his family will be forming head of the house ( coconuts head) with unnecessary proud and still carry the mentality abroad by the time he realizes it wife don serve him divorce paper

Abroad polygamy is not allowed so Nigerian men take their cheating habit abroad and wife treat his fvck up with divorce.

Nigeria men will abandon his wife and kids for side chick and wife suffer to raise children while he enjoy himself with no law forcing him for child support, but abroad will reset his brain when he try such.

There are patterns to this abroad marriage that are crashing.

1. The marriages that mostly didn't have problems were the ones where it was the women who brought their husbands over. These marriages last long and if it breaks down, it will most likely be the man that forked up.

2. The second kind of marriage that lasts is the one where the men bring their wives over, wives that they have known before they (the men) ever dreamt of going abroad. Their childhood love for example.

3. The third one that lasts is established marriages. So family that may have two or three kids, and decides to relocate abroad.

4. Two Naija people met themselves abroad and got married there. Probably they are both done with schooling, both educated, and none have the responsibility to legalize the other.

in the above scenario, you will hardly hear of breakups and using lawyers to deal with each other. If they ever break up, then it could be a matter of fate, not because of abroad per se.

The one that breaks down easily is when it is the man/woman who went to bring the other person over, a person they met online, and are dating online. This one is the most dangerous, and if you look at most marriages that crash abroad, a large amount falls inside this category.
