It’s time to leave - Nigerians urge Osimhen to quit Napoli after teammates refused to pass the ball to him

Fans of Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen have asked him to leave Napoli after it appears his teammates are refusing to play the ball to him.

Defending champions of the Scudetto Napoli were blown away by an in-form Inter Milan team at the Maradona.

However, Nigerian fans were more concerned about the treatment of Victor Osimhen by his teammates who refused to pass the ball to him on many occasions during the match.

0 -
While Inter Milan played to their strength, giving the ball to players like Thuram and Çalhanoğlu, who could cause any team danger, Napoli did the exact opposite, denying their star player of service when he was in some good positions.

In the first 45 minutes, Osimhen shows his frustration after calling for the ball but not getting it when he was in the box. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who linked up very well with Nigerian last season, and Politano were guilty of going solo or passing sideways when a pass to Osimhen would have been the better option.

All of these came to bite Napoli as Hakan Çalhanoğlu drilled home a thunderous strike to give the Nerazzurris the lead going into the half-time break. 15 minutes into the restart, Nicolo Barella added a second for Inter Milan.

Napoli did try to go long finding Osimhen but it was now a little too late. Yann Sommer drew a smart save from an Osimhen’s header. In the end, Marcus Thuram applied a deft finishing touch after good work from Juan Cuadrado.

While reacting to the game, many Nigerians on Pulse Sports' Facebook page believe the time has come for Victor Osimhen to leave the Naples club.

Osimen think twice. I am an Arsenal's fan and would want you among our ranks. But think twice before you leave Napoli because this was how Chileans looked down on Arsenal and wanted Alexi Sanchez to dump Arsenal by all means m Arturo Vidal led this campaign and they stampeded Alexi into leaving Arsenal where he was a cult hero to Man U and other places where he became an object of ridicule.
Think twice my brother.

The guy should take the best decision concerning his future and ignore the NIGERIANS urging him to leave cause many of them just like to have an opinion on people’s lives.

Osimhen and his team should take the best decision cause he’s in his prime.

I hope you all know the rules about CONTRACTS HERE ?IF HE HAS A BINDING CONTRACT ,it will only take the decision of the management to choose to loose him off ,else bros will be under serious FIFAs court trouble .He will likely loose every dime be has gotten while in ITALY ,that's why they are always asked to read and understand the terms of agreement that would be binnding on them during play, well ably interpreted by a sound legal practitioner too.

He should go to Madrid and replace Benzema
since Mbappe isn't ready yet

Going to Chelsea and playing with Nickolas Jackson is a big risk..
that guy is a dead wood

Any coach that signed Nicholas Jackson and rejected Joao Felix is a football Terrorist

Precisely... The thing is funny.

You need to win games but keep isolating your main striker who is proven to be dangerous in eighteen yard boxes.

Napoli is all over the place this season.

Well, good for Inter Milan...!

They are just bringing down their profit on the sale of top players like Osimhen.

Watched most of the match in question. Didn't see anything resembling this bull peddled about.

The whole team played badly yesterday. At home they gave Inter too much respect with slow tentative play unlike their approach last season.

And as for Osimen he is yet to get up to speed after the long injury lay off. Some of his touches were not precise enough to threaten a well marshalled Inter backline.

They lost to a far superior team and likely champions this season.

PS: And as I have said before, In Walter Mazzari they have signed an average, 'has been' coach who cannot deliver anything to them. Italian soccer remains a very closed, conservative management system.

They believe in recycling coaches instead of looking abroad for fresh talent and moving with the trend of young and dynamic coaches taking the leagues of Europe by storm in England, Spain and Germany.

It is like City employing Rafa Benitez when Pep leaves as defending champion or Rafa returning to Liverpool if or when Klopp gets fed up.

Who does that.
