I never did it. Actually, I didn't know it was a thing. I was always in class during matric, convocation, vigil, praise night, aluta, name them. Everyday we won't have lectures or "shotgun" was always a blessing. An extra day to cover more grounds. The only convocation I attended was mine... Even that one, I didn't bring food (as a poor graduate). But thank God for life; today, we're feeding people on a steady.

Being architecture students, we were mostly always at the studios drawing during convocation and matriculation days and it was a norm to stroll down the venue by cool evening to feed on one or two and take home another one or two that would last for two days or so.
Once we view your stand see say your people get money, we don enter, sidown, greet ya papa and mama and congratulate you. Next thing, food don land. And the good thing be say those rich parents are always fast to ask what we wanted to eat......
Fun days. Matric and convocation days. Even PhD convocation wey na big men dey gather, mount tent, put AC inside, we go enter there go chaw. Archi students nor dey get shame.

We attended any ceremony some not even knowing what they were doing!

We just kit up and mix in!

I remember one event my classmate was living around the event area! That day from 11am till just before 7pm we left I ate like 7 times!

Guy na WA for u oooo. U too much ooo

Rice and eggs! (We came too early as they were still cooking).
Later ate jollof and proper white rice later!
I ate fufu and vegetable soup!
Everything served we ate!

I just got home and slept!

That was the best event we went like that!

Food? nah it was more about the free booze for me and my goons. We dey go bust our guys them when done graduate and no want share location. But u gotta be careful not to walk into the wrong one. That was how one junkie misdirected us and we follow bush go crash baggars graduation groove. Immediately we stepped in there was heavy silence, all activities stopped, all eyes were on us as they had already created a huge circle girls and guys. Omor na the circle we go waka enter soo... I nearly kill my guy for this wrong mapping. I felt like Van Helsing in the midst of angry vampires and it was the dead of the night and we were all stoned from some okotiebor weed. As a favoured son na so these baggars I no know from anywhere just quickly give me props. The DJ announced that a car was blocking the way and someone wanted to leave. Na so another one stylishly put keys for my hands escort me I enter car I no get reposition am well. Then another told me to find a spot to sit and I will get anything I wanted for the night. Omor na so those guys make my night oo for wrong waka of awoof booze. Only me gain babe that night. The whole scenario still be me like movie grin

The one I did was attending all the campus fellowship freshers day in 100L.

And their sendforth in final year.

My school campus fellowships pass 50 (Not exaggerating).. No one wey me and my fellow FFO no go. RCF, Daystar, BSF, Catholic, CAC, Celestial, etc..

We even get food squad sef.. 8 of us 🤣

I had enough during my matric sef….did everything possible for my family not to come or bring food when coming but they no gree😂😂

Didn't do shiiii...had many carry over overs to do this. Luckily graduated after two years. Even like that, twas a miracle, cos they were too many
