LGBTQ+: Is The "Pope" Only Admitting What The Catholic Church Always Supported?

A few years back, the Roman Catholic church was embroiled in a rape scandal of massive, if not unprecedented, scale, involving thousands of priests and clergy members, that in the US alone, payments of compensation made to rape victims reached billions of dollars.

The huge scale and widespread nature of the child abuses and rapes, perpetrated by many Roman Catholic priests and clergy members makes it really difficult to exonorate the Roman Catholic church as a whole from this development, because it wasn't an aberration but a common practice.

They can't say they were unaware of these widespread cases of abuses and rape of minors by their prominent and highly respected leaders, yet they kept silent until it became a scandal, which signifies culpability on the part of Roman Catholic church.

Many of the rape victims were male minors, suggesting the sexual orientation of many Catholic priests and clergy members.

Now the Roman Catholic Pope is openly showing support to the LGBTQ+ community and approving the blessing of same-sex marriages.

So is he only openly admitting what the Roman Catholic church has always supported but in secret?

It's glaring not every Catholic supports LGBTQ+, so this is speaking about the hierarchy of the Catholic church not all Catholics.

I have read the Bible and I have never seen where the Bible mentioned "Pope", those who appointed him, na them get the headache oo🤣. No matter how Catholic members try to interpret the pope's message, his order was clear and very anti-bible
